Era and Jonathan’s Joyful Christmas Wedding
You’ll see a lot of laughing, and hugging, and lovin’ in this wedding. My dear, sweet girlfriend, Era asked me to photograph her wedding, and it was a JOYFUL Christmas wedding. The day started early at Bliss Salon in Hendersonville, NC, with all the ladies receiving a bit of pampering. A lovely brunch, hosted by Era’s aunts, awaited us at the Inn on Church. The food was AH-mazing.
Era is the most festive person I know. She LIVES for holidays and birthdays and parties of any sort. She doesn’t have a birth-DAY, she has a birth-MONTH! She remembers all her friends’ birthdays (she even remembers my boys’ birthdays), so when she said she was having a Christmas themed wedding, I could only imagine what eye candy would await me. She chose to wed in the bed and breakfast, Claddagh Inn, and when I arrived all her friends and family were hustling and bustling to add Era’s special touches downstairs. There was greenery and garland, crystal and beads, lace and lots of red. I asked Era how she came up with her tabletop decorations, to which she replied, in a Christmas decoration book. :) Simple enough, but it was glorious to see in person.
Thanks to Josh Craven for the picture below. It’s not very often that I’m able to jump into a picture. :)
The tables were set and the Claddagh Inn reception hall was decorated to the hilt. What Era’s mom, Mrs. PA, didn’t plan on was how much space sitting people would take up. We were elbow to elbow and back to back, but I wouldn’t have changed a thing. We were cozy! The servers asked us to pass plates down the line because they couldn’t fit down the isles. Good times. :)
The Claddagh Inn outdid themselves with this steak dinner. The week after Era’s wedding, a Facebook post circulated asking if anyone wanted to go back to Hendersonville, NC and celebrate one more time- no one wanted the night to end. After dinner, friends and family talked about Era and Jonathan- reliving wonderful memories. At one point in the night, Era stood up to thank everyone and told us not to rush. She said she wanted to hear from everyone- even if it meant that the dancing was delayed. Love her!
