From the time Kendall and Ben contacted me, over a year and a half ago, ’til their actual wedding day, they have been a joy to work with. You can tell they really love people: she’s studying to be a medical doctor and Ben is a teacher. But what’s most obvious is that they REALLY love each other. The whole wedding a romantic, Charleston success and there were many firsts for me. “Firsts” make a wedding fun for everyone, especially vendors. Here’s what I witnessed for the first time in my wedding career:
(see pictures below)
1. Kendall jumped on the bed with her brides maids! It was totally AWESOME!
2. The guests and bridal party danced with a white napkin to an Italian ballad. They waved, wrapped, flossed, and stuffed it all over their bodies- then passed it to another person who entered the circle and continued the ritual. It was hilarious. I kind of wish someone would’ve thrown it at me. Ha!
3. The longest garter removal I’ve ever seen. Ben- you have dancing skills that all men should acquire. Two words: Magic Mike

Kendall got ready at the Planters Inn in the historic district of Down Town, Charleston. We were steps away from the old market and, my favorite building, the Daughters of Confederacy. The stairs and iron work on the DOC are to die for! After heading to St. Luke’s to say their I DOs, Kendall and Ben took a quiet horse drawn carriage ride to the ruins of Canon Park. While they relaxed their guests enjoyed some fabulous food and drink at the Peninsula Grill. Well done, Kendall & Ben. Well done!!
