Reading is one of our favorite things to do. Every day before nap and night time we pile up together, flip through pages, and enjoy the calm. It’s one of the best parts of being a mom. A close second to reading books is throwing rocks . . . at the floor. Try it!

Vera Watkins | Sweet Baby Love
Posted in: Baby & Newborn Photography, Child Photography, Family Photography
Ivana (mommy of baby Vera) is one of my favorite people on earth. She has such a joyful spirit and her household is proof of that. Vera is the newest of three beautiful girls who are also full of life and smiles. Baby Vera even gave me a smile on this, her very first photo shoot! Ivana, I just want to tell you how proud I am of all you do for your family. On top of all the everyday stuff- you take time to love your girls in very personal ways. I know Vera is already a recipient of this special love you show because of how you responded to these pictures. You were so happy that I took a picture of her right ear (your favorite of her ears). You thanked me for taking a picture of her right eyelashes (the longest of her eyelashes). You swooned when you saw her puckered lips (you called them luscious). You notice and celebrate the unique characteristics of all your girls- and that makes you a perfect mommy.

Charleston Family Photography | Sullivan’s Island | The Postons + baby Emily bump
Posted in: Child Photography, Family Photography, Maternity Photography
Today was 86° and sunny all day so while on my way to Sullivan’s Island I was surprised to see dark rainclouds in my rear view mirror. Charleston storms are funny- I think it’s because we’re on the water- sometimes it downpours everywhere except the beach. Thankfully, this was the case for Caleb & Brittany’s family photo shoot. The storm made for some gorgeous, dramatic pictures! Brittany, thanks for being such a good sport. :) Even though you shouldn’t be on your feet you happily went wherever I asked. Noah is Brittany and Caleb’s son . . . he is a pistol (a very cute pistol) and they’re expecting a baby girl, Emily, in 8 weeks. Caleb & Brittany, thank you so much for making the trek, in rush hour traffic, and braving a two year old’s bed time for amazing light. It was worth it!
Oh, don’t mind me Mom! I’m just getting some more free candy from this nice lady over here.
(I always carry Smarties in my pockets for kids.)
This cargo ship was HUMUNGO! Noah was waving.

BOY, N.: A noise with dirt on it
Yes, I have three boys and they are manly boys. They wrestle & fight, burp & toot, nose pick & who knows where they put it! They are such a wonderful gift from God. This was just an average day, but they were super happy to be photographed flying through the air (as opposed to running from the camera) SO . . . enjoy a snippet from the lives of three lively little men.
